Use in timber construction, especially carpentry, pre-fabricated housing, vehicle construction (e.g. truck load platforms), boat building, trade fair construction, scaffolding, for heavy, separable transport racks or machines crates, transport crates for sea transport. Used to join wooden parts or wood and metal parts. The square neck is sunk into the wood. Bore diameter is dependent on thread dimension. For joining wood to wood, a larger washer must be placed under the nut, e.g. a wood construction washer.
